So far, I have been making some pretty good progress with my book. All my characters are pretty much finalized, (though that can always change) and the general idea of my plot is finished.

My book is about two twins, Jared and Harry Weber, who come across a machine that transports them to this planet in this alternate universe. There, they meet the head of the Stadium, Unitas (No last name), who introduces them to the capital city, Damrkeer. Damrkeer is famous because it hosts the a building, called the Stadium, full of ________ (I don’t have a name yet..), which is a machine which enables you to live in a world that you think up of. You lie down in the ____ (again, the dream machine thingy..), which looks like a tanning machine, and you fall asleep. It then takes the information from your brain, and then creates a world accordingly, which you live in, like a dream. For example, if you thought of having ice cream for breakfast every morning, you would wake up, and you would hear your mom yelling “come down for breakfast!”. You would head downstairs, and there would be your favourite ice cream laid out on the table. If it was raining, you could think of a sunny day, and the sky would clear up in about a minute. You feel everything in real life, such as emotion, but not pain. However, if you are about to die, your little dream session would end. In your dream, you carry around a button that aborts your dream is you press it.  Jared and Harry, take a tour around the city and even give the ______ (machine) a test run. However, the man supervising the mayor notices that the mayor lost his button, therefore getting him stuck inside the machine, which is in its own private chamber, and not in the Stadium.  Jared goes into the mayor’s dream to rescue the mayor. However, the system goes haywire, no one can get out. Inside the dream, they also feel pain, which means that they could die. In the real world, a mysterious man in a purple hood leads a group of men who take over the Stadium, taking everyone inside hostage. Inside the Stadium, is the master key. The master key will abort any dream, but the problem is that it may bring what is in the dream into the real world, which is why it is safer to rescue someone by going in the dream with them. Basically, Harry has to work with Unitas to get the master key to rescue Jared and the Mayor, while Jared and the Mayor try to stay alive.

So this is the basic plot of my story, if you guys have any suggestions for either the plot, or a name for the “dream machine”, feel free to post them in the comments!
